LA couple ditches California for Italian elopement
After starting to look into a large wedding in California wine country that rapidly ballooned in guest count and price, Lianne and Dan actually did what a lot of couples consider when confronted with so much wedding planning stress: they eloped instead. Way before micro-weddings were our new normal, Lianne and Dan invited about thirty of their closest friends to join them at Villa del Balbianello on Lago di Como in Italy.

Elisa and Nathan celebrated their meaningful wedding in Italy with readings by witnesses, sharing promises, exchanging rings, and a wine ceremony. After the ceremony, they walked through the streets of the ancient city of Ascoli Piceno, where they took a few pictures in the famous cafe Meletti and the Capitani Palace in Piazza del Popolo, one of the most beautiful Italian squares. Get ready for major locale envy.

Diana and Manuel took a gondola tour of the Grand Canal in Venice at their lovely Italian elopement. They made stops at the piazza for photos and, of course, their intimate sunset ceremony alongside the canal, serenaded by a soprano. Vacay goals: This Italy trip doubled as a traveling engagement shoot
Jason and Didi wanted to pair their Italian vacation with a killer engagement shoot with Jason’s sister, Sasha (also their photog!) and her husband. The 14-day itinerary covered a few cities including Milan, Venice, Florence, Tuscany, Rome, and Amafi Coast. Sigh — hashtag traveling engagement shoot goals.
The group stated in a castle in Tuscany, rode in boats and gondolas in Venice, stayed in Art Deco hotels, ate gelato in Sienna, and toured lovely streets and squares. It was a lush and fabulous way to celebrate Jason and Didi’s engagement and we get to see it all! A-wanderlusting we will go…
