Jessica & Grant’s outdoor Victorian winery wedding
This bride’s custom-made cobalt blue Victorian dress steals our hearts, and the rustic, forest-y details take the rest. Non-matching bridesmaids in white, a fabulous ceremony gazebo, and so much ambiance. Oh, and wait until you hear the story the groom told in his speech. Let’s just say it had something to with self-tanner.
Jessica & Andrew’s dance party barn wedding
We know ya’ll love some paper flowers, and this crafty barn wedding totally fits the bill for DIY fun. But it’s the ceremony that gets us sniffling. It’s got a super cute start, a meaningful unity ceremony, and a big, joyful hug at the end. We saved the best for last, though: groomsman getting naked on the dance floor. It’s a must-see.
Sarah & Mark’s BBQ in a barn with a big bear brawl
Sometimes when you incorporate bears into your wedding theme, it begins Bear War I and somebody’s going down. Thankfully, there was mucho honey favors, tons of pies (including whoopie), and the breaking of bread to get all the guests involved. Plus, the bride has some great advice on what she should have brought to the hotel!
Heather & Marty’s six-guest cultural center and city tour wedding
This pair took serious advantage of the awesome locales in their new city of Chicago. After a $10(!!) cultural center ceremony and an amazing brunch with their immediate family, they traversed the urban terrain for a super fun portrait session. This is the ultimate combination of intimacy, budget-friendly, and bonding with a new city. And a ring snafu at the ceremony turned out to have a really sweet solution.
Morgan & Jon’s multi-location trifecta wedding
Four locations, four weddings, and four times the reason to see what the hell it’s all about! And that includes a hand-spray-painted dress, a surprise wedding tattoo, and a really awesome “water ceremony.” You must see what ceremony flub made all the guests raise their hands in the air and wave ’em like they just don’t care.
Alexa & Wale’s vibrant Nigerian engagement and minimalist Unitarian nerdfest
You may recognize this pair from Alexa’s Nigerian engagement ceremony bridentity crisis, and we just had to see how it all turned out. It’s a two-ceremony mega-mash of Nigerian and American culture including handmade geles (Nigerian head wraps), geeky details, a sweet candle ceremony, and some flubbed vows that are too funny to miss.
