The vows from this Native American / Irish handfasting wedding will make you cry
We wanted to celebrate both of our families — Irish/Scottish on my side, Kiowa on his — so our ceremony was a handfasting wedding, held on Mark’s family’s allotment land. A horseback ceremony(!) at this misty horse ranch wedding with DIY for days
Jatossha fell in love with horses and got a job working at a ranch. That’s where she and Alan met and bonded over their love of horses. This was a truly DIY/community-assisted wedding featuring horseshoes, gorgeous flowers, and delicious homemade food. Don’t miss Jatossha’s gorgeous braids, the horseback ceremony, and a the perfectly lovely foggy day…
Julie & Brian’s country farm wedding with horses
Horse dancing, cowboy boots, and decorated hay bales — this is one happening hoedown! After everything, this couple totally knows how to skillfully dismount a horse, battle the elements, and rock a horse mask like nobody else. Plus, there’s totally a video of a horse dance during the ceremony. It’s a must-see.
A magical Monday Montage with fairies, horses, and RAINBOWS
It was kind of a magical week for reader submissions. I encountered fairy wings, a fantasy destination sign, a horse-drawn carriage, and multiple rainbows. More rainbows is always better. Check out what else we found in the Offbeat Flickr Pool, the Offbeat Bride Tribe, and Pinterest this week.
