A theater-infused movie wedding at an alma mater
Jillian and Michael were married at the Emmett Robinson Theater at College of Charleston, their alma mater. Their officiant was their former theater professor, Joy Vandervort-Cobb. They had a movie-themed reception with television screens looping their engagement photos and movie popcorn and movie quotes decor. It’s a film lover’s dream!

As someone who has never really adhered to the concept of “gender” and felt like I fall somewhere on the scale between tomboy and androgynous, I was surprised to find planning for my wedding made me feel unexpectedly girly. I fought it for a little while, but eventually decided to just go with it.
