Andie & Laurie’s Vaudevillian queer love extravaganza wedding
This performance-based costume wedding had two men of honor, a best lady, a wedding admiral, a ring master, a banjoist and baladeer, a celebrity Lutheran pastor, a Drag Queen Mistress of Ceremonies (who performed a Barbie rendition of Steel Magnolias), and a Dolly Parton flash mob dance (animated for your pleasure). There’s lot of eye candy and some insightful philosophizing too.
An elegant gothic Iron Chef wedding
As someone who has never really adhered to the concept of “gender” and felt like I fall somewhere on the scale between tomboy and androgynous, I was surprised to find planning for my wedding made me feel unexpectedly girly. I fought it for a little while, but eventually decided to just go with it. Wearing makeup and doing my hair for one day didn’t make me a new person, it was just the side of me that decided to pop out for the occasion.
Andrea & Patrick’s enchanted tiki and karaoke wedding
This couple wanted a super fun party at a bar with karaoke, a Bloody Mary bar, and even a unity tiki torch. They may have had to change their venue at the last moment, but with the help of friends, it was even better than expected. And if they were worried about guests being too shy to sing karaoke, boy were they wrong!
Darcy & Charles’ stripey vegan fancypunk wedding
Nom-worthy vegan food, tons of homemade desserts, a gender-blind wedding party covered in stripes, a wild-ass Hora, and perhaps the most excited-looking couple EVAR. That’s what’s in store here. Plus, their dog Lupin saved the day by rescuing the rings!
Lisa & Kevin’s garden party comfort food wedding
A little bit comic book, a little bit DIY, a little bit picnic: that’s what makes up this amazing outdoor wedding. Oh, and a healthy dose of ooey gooey love! Make yourself a root beer float and get ready for some super sweet details.
Michelle & Chris’ relaxed vineyard wedding
After a serious illness threatens this wedding, the pair comes out swinging with a gorgeous vineyard venue (with matching wine barrel cake!), a bride and bridesmaid color swap, and even a papier-mache pig card box. Plus, you’ll love the sweet little hand-crafted hearts filled with facts about their relationship.
