This intimate, handmade Ocracoke Island wedding wins the internet today

This Ocracoke Island wedding takes full advantage of the oasis-like environment of the island off the coast of North Carolina. They rented a beautiful house on the sound, and wed in the backyard among their family, friends, and lots of driftwood. Erin’s wedding dress was a work of art in itself, sewed and dyed by hand. We are SERIOUSLY entraced by this Ocracoke Island wedding.

This woodsy backyard wedding was a labor of love

This woodsy chic backyard wedding was a labor of love

Corey and George had an intimate wedding that celebrated the vibrant colors of fall and their waterfront backyard venue in the woods. They grew their own flowers, and the bride’s mother made her bouquet which included a deer horn to honor the bride’s father and the groom’s mother. The groom surprised everyone with a live band, and they provided a huge drawing board for the kids and anyone who wanted to leave a love note for them. It was a chic backyard wedding, and a lovely labor of love with local vendors and gorgeous details.

Emily and Mike had a gorgeous self-uniting ceremony where they performed all their own vows as well as music during the ceremony. With feminist overtones and a backyard greenhouse setting, it was a sight to see. Between the FABULOUS centerpieces, greenhouse-inspired decor, and the ceremony in the round, you do not want to miss this loveliness.
