A glam & rustic Friday the 13th wedding

A glam & rustic Friday the 13th wedding

Kevin and I wanted to make sure our wedding was a representation of ourselves. We had planned on having the wedding in October once we got engaged and when we discovered there was a Friday the 13th in October 2017, we knew it was meant to be. Our wedding was Friday the 13th inspired with a dark yet natural vibe. The Codman Estate was the perfect mix of stunning natural scenery and modern convenience (bathrooms inside!). I wore a black dress (my dream) that I got at Macy's for under $150 which was a bonus for a thrifty maven.

A Houston artistic wedding with a Frida Kahlo-inspired headpiece that SLAYS

Candace and Onemena (aka Neemo) rocked an artistic wedding with influences of Frida Kahlo. There were beautiful and lush touches from Candace’s dress to the florals to the decor and fab cakes. Being a muralist herself, Candace had huge inspiration from Frida Kahlo for her beautiful floral head piece, and Thorn Floral brought it to life.

Just wait until you see the green lacy, painted goodness of her dress. Add that to her red floral crown and you’ll be blown away

James and I are both artists, so it only made sense that almost all our decorations/accessories were made by us. Don’t miss how we narrowed down our venue search!

Vintage style and stunning views at this Scotland elopement

Meghan and Ryan traveled all the way from Georgia to have a dramatic and romantic Scotland elopement at the St. Anthony’s Chapel ruins in Edinburgh.

They read their vows in front of two close friends, marking the occasion with champagne and cigars afterwards. After the ceremony, everyone had a delicious dinner in Edinburgh followed by a karaoke session at a local bar. After they tied the knot, it was off to to the Scottish highlands to visit were Ryan’s ancestors had lived. It’s like a wanderlusting dream come true about which we can dream…
