Glittery shoes: the summer 2013 edition (with Oxfords for the dapper-footed!)
This certainly isn’t my first day stomping down the glittering, campy road of sparkly-ass wedding shoes. Sequins! Rhinestones! Glitter! I’ve been down this path before.
Today, however, it’s not just about sky-high sparkly drag queen shoes. (Although yes, I have included a pair from RuPaul’s shoe line.) Today, in addition to my usual heels and pumps, I’m making a point to include a ton of glittering oxfords and boots for the dapper-footed among us. Because who says the femmes and drag queens should have all the mirror-ball fun?!
Seychelles: wedding shoes you can walk in, dance in, and wear after the fact
It’s been almost exactly a year since I last did a shoe post about Seychelles Shoes, everyone’s favorite solidly-heeled, 40s-styled pumps and sandals. Offbeat Brides love the ankle straps, the walkable heels, and the dance-friendly sturdiness of many of Seychelles styles. Let’s take a look at some of their new styles! I’m including a ton of flats as well, so never ye fear!
Kitten heels for a meow-meow-meow wedding day
Ok, ok. I don’t actually mean heels with kittens on them, but I totally could not resist using this shoe to kick off my post all about kitten heels. Mostly, this is going to be a post featuring shoes with short slender little heels. Some of them lean a bit chunkier than true kitten style, but I know that lots of you are worried about sinking into the grass, so I figured you’d forgive me for going a bit thicker. Some of these styles are from Modcloth, and you know how fast that shit sells out… so if you like it, SNAG IT!
Wedding sandals for beach weddings, backyard weddings, and crazed patio dancing
Wedges! Platforms! Flip-flops! Slides! T-straps! We are going to talk about some freaking SANDALS today, because I know some of you are planning destination weddings, beach weddings, and other outdoor weddings that will be happening in hot places. I ran the gamut on this one, from more formal-feeling wedges and low pumps to totally casual flats and t-straps. And of course at least one pair of rainbow flip-flops because, well, you know how I am.
