Anne-Louise & Jon’s casually elegant party with bubbles and a tango
They may not be professional tango dancers or always remember to plug in the bubble machine, but these two know how to throw a party in the spirit of their house-warming parties of the past. After ten years together, they really didn’t know how much two years of planning would strengthen their relationship, but we’re very glad it did.
Danielle & Davey’s participatory vegan bike parade wedding
When the whole party arrives in bike parade style, it’s sure to be a kick-ass and casual celebration. With the Georgetown Ballroom as the backdrop to both the ceremony and the reception, two bands and a DJ, a zine creation station, and a drawing contest, there wasn’t anyone without something awesome to do. And since these two are all about community, everything was crafted with love by friends and fam.
Jenifer & Shawn’s last-minute backyard BBQ wedding
A vintage dress to die for, a heart theme (including awesome headpiece!), fun with piñatas, and the sweetest homemade book about their relationship — you’re in for a backyard wedding with a ton of heart(s). These two moved their wedding date up seven months to coincide with a birthday party and Easter weekend, which left them with only days to finish. But finish they did, and you’ll want to see the result.
Jenna & Billy’s band geeks and Harry Potter bookish wedding
Harry Potter and sheet music cupcake stands, an amazing sheet music DIYed bouquet, and damask and Scrabble details, all on a tight budget and overcoming some powerful adversity. This wedding between two alumni at their university is as sweet as it is courageous. Enjoy the book details during our Bookish theme week.
