Dawn & Benjamin’s off-the-grid forest handfasting
This pair both studied sustainability at a gorgeous venue on Cortes Island, BC, so it only made sense to bring their loved ones there to celebrate their marriage. And those same guests pulled together to provide tons of help in preparing for this camp-out wedding in the forest. But the best part of all is the bride’s HAND-PAINTED dress! You have to see it.
A museum courtyard wedding surrounded by art
Annie and Ben had spent time as a long-distance relationship before settling together in San Francisco. After that, they decided to get married at the gorgeous Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento. Annie is a designer and pulled in all of her skills to create the top of her dress, her veil, and most of the decor.
Elly & Nick’s vintage/redneck planned-in-30-days wedding
These two are a hot mess of mixed-up genres and I LOVE IT! A vintage gal rockin’ a retro look and a self-described redneck guy from Alaska roasting a pig in the backyard. And you’re going to love their forest-y mushroom cupcakes, caramel apples, and adorable backyard setup.
JR & Mike’s spontaneous steampunk wedding
Lovers of steampunk, handmade dresses, and crazy DIYed weddings: unite! This wedding is for you. Everything about this party was crafted by the couple and their friends, even when unexpected changes forced them to move venues. Wait until you see the fire spinners, an amazing “bouquet,” and the groom’s chain mail.
