Amanda & Eric’s breakfast-for-dinner fun and games wedding
Breakfast-for-dinner is a concept we can totally get behind. Especially when it’s backed up by DC comics Converse, Mad Libs, handmade pinwheels, an awesome poem written by the bride’s brother, …oh, and donuts instead of cake! Just watch out for the little heartbreaker in the suspenders on the dance floor. He’s irresistible.
Heather & Johnathan’s nerdy summer picnic wedding
These two had some interesting dilemmas: managing expectations from a very Catholic family and a not-so-Catholic family, balancing the needs of disabilities and the recovery community, and having a super low budget. But we can all learn from this bride’s kick-ass attitude about keeping things accessible and authentic! Plus, we’re totally behind any wedding that ends with a D&D campaign.
Laura & Seth’s Batgirl and Nightwing comic book romance wedding
This pair’s mutual love of Nightwing and Batgirl was the epic backdrop for their superhero-sized wedding. There were lots of guests, lots of amazing superhero-themed gear, and a giant cityscape to burst through at the reception. Let’s hope they can save the world with their superhuman love.
Pre-wedding excitement with bubble wrap, comics, shoes, and hedgehogs
This week it’s all about the excitement of wedding prep in our reader round-up. We have sci-fi-esque Save the Date video teasers, comic book invitations, wedding crafts, a cute hedgehog, and even the coolest wedding countdown calendar you’ve ever seen. Oh, and I show off some of my favorite wedding purchases that you’ve made recently. So let’s throw our hands (and paper hearts?) in the air and say “Yay for wedding planning!”…
Alyssa & Davey’s fireworks and comic books wedding
Superheroes, NERF guns, fancy lighting, and an epic fireworks show with heart-shaped fireworks? You know we’re in like Flynn. Just try and hold back the goosebumps when you hear what the best man said to his big brother. SO CUTE! We’re in for geeky, we’re in for awesome… we’re in for geeky awesome!
Stephanie & Jonathan’s whimsical Calvin and Hobbes wedding
This couple transmogrified their wedding into an ultimate Calvin and Hobbes dance party. Everything from the stationery to the cake toppers had the handwriting look of a stuffed tiger and his favorite boy. You’re gonna love the ring bearer’s striped shirt and the way he hugs his tiger friend in these pictures. Grab your wagon and let’s go look!
