The Art Nouveau wedding: LEGO meets geek meets Southern hospitality
When Art Nouveau meets big time nerdery, it can only mean one thing: a gorgeous, LEGO-infused, DIYed wedding that spoils us with awesomeness. Don’t miss the two homemade cakes, the Lord of the Rings-esque Art Nouveau decor, and the awesome send-off. OH, and you’ll never guess what happened when the bride’s dad wasn’t there when it was time to walk down the aisle!
Winter Storm Jonas couldn’t stop this glam Harry Potter wedding
“If you’d asked me a week beforehand, I would have said that my biggest challenge was probably trying to commit to the seating chart or something. But that was before Winter Storm Jonas blew in and changed my whole perspective. Getting hit with multiple feet of snow on your wedding day really forces a gal to adapt, y’know?” This glam Harry Potter wedding prevailed despite the heaping snow with guests literally walking for miles to get there!
Moonrise Budapest Hotel Kingdom: A very Wes Anderson wedding
1960s-themed Moonrise Kingdom bridesmaids (with berets!), Fantastic Mr. Fox-inspired groom gear, a globe guest book, gorgeously French pastries, and so many Wes Anderson details to spot — this Wes Anderson wedding is miraculous. This four-day Labor Day weekend wedding even included rafting down the Rio Grande! You have to see this one.
Sweet simplicity: Sam & Meghan’s small, simple Winter wedding
This was a very small and simple Winter wedding — a celebration of our relationship. There were 17 guests in attendance, just immediate family and best friends. We met in the dead of winter at a small college chapel for the ceremony, then went to a restaurant down the street for dinner. We had few decorations, no theme, no wedding party, no rehearsal dinner, no formal invitations, no gifts, no dancing — and it was glorious.
