Balloons and gold glitter at this vintage chic Portland wedding
aren and Joel’s vintage chic Portland wedding was seriously beautiful. Think tons of flora and fauna with cats, polka dots, gold, blue, mint, and peach colors everywhere. Their cat, George, was present in spirit — he was on the invitations, the program, on a custom pocket square for Joel, and in their vows. Yay for fellow cat people! Don’t miss the hand-dyed table linens, gold glitter vases, paper garland, and gold animal place cards.
#ErinAndTimGetMeowied: a nerdy cat lady wedding
Our wedding had a loose theme of books, cats, and glitter. I really wanted my four cats to be at the wedding, but it wasn’t possible, so I had to just let my cat lady status show in other ways.
I wore cat shoes and had a cat purse. We had our cats added to our cake topper, cat paw chocolate pops favors, and made sure to have cat ears at the photo booth. And, of course, used a cat lady wedding hashtag: #ErinAndTimGetMeowied.

Bring your feline wedding party with you via painted cat shoes
We’ve got the most intimate and tearful Washington D.C. elopement coming up later this week, but I wanted to highlight one little detail that swept me off my feet. Courtney and Marisa wanted to bring their two kitties to the ceremony, but understandably, kitties aren’t down for travel. They prefer sitting pretty on the couch… to which I can relate! But to honor their presence, Courtney rocked hand-painted shoes with portraits of the two cats on them.
Hello, deer: Cat flats, Hello Kitty creepers, and more TUK wedding shoes
You’ve seen TUK wedding shoes many times on Offbeat Bride — they make the all-time most popular Offbeat Bride shoe (the peacock heel!) and the recently very popular cat flats. TUK might historically be known for their creepers (and their Hello Kitty creepers are especially cute!), but they now crank out a full range of heels and flats that are a bit less Hot Topic and a little more Hawt Mama. I mean, if you think unicorn flats are hawt, which I do…
