The groom rocked the DIYed art details at this historic schoolhouse wedding
Travis and Gerianna met through their mutual love of Disneyland which you know means that their aesthetic will be on point. They enjoy dancing, going to Dapper Day, and are artsy as hell. Plus, the clincher: Travis planned EVERYTHING! He’s a graphic designer so he created their invitations, the newspaper with the day’s details, stained the crates, painted mini recreations of works of art for each table, hand-lettered all the signs. It was a creative undertaking!
Down the rabbit hole at this 1920s vintage-inspired Alice In Wonderland wedding
Our theme followed the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole. It was a whimsical vintage-inspired Alice tea party. We had it set at the Rose Court Garden at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim. The reception captured the quirkiness of the Mad Hatter's tea party. The party ended when some 1920s-themed tap dancers crashed the party and lead our guests into a Charleston dancing competition.
This wedding was a sci-fi lover’s ceremony and cryptid creatures with a dose of boho in the desert
A sci fi lover's ceremony and mythical/cryptid creatures with a dose of boho in the desert! Since Victor proposed in a redwood forest after we visited the Bigfoot Museum in Santa Cruz, we kept the cryptid creature theme going for our wedding. Our save-the-date paid homage to X-files, UFOs, and the elusive Sasquatch. Our quirky wedding suite reflects our love not only for Joshua Tree but for all things mythical and paranormal.
THIS is what happens when you get married at a Fairyland amusement park
Peggy and Bill’s playful wedding took place at Children’s Fairyland in Oakland, California and seriously captured the fairy tale spirit of the venue. The fairy tale theme carried over through all of their details, with nods to Alice in Wonderland, keys to unlock the story though the park, and spell books on the tables with moss and fairy lights. I can totally see how they would all feel transported to a magical place. Let’s get to the magical fairyland wedding…
A rural California rock ‘n’ roll family wedding under the stars
Sarah and Michael married on June 21, 2017 in rural Covelo, CA. The couple chose to get married at Sarah’s family home, where they first met, and where Sarah gave birth to their daughter, Maddie. The ceremony began with the groomsmen and bridesmaids having a dance-off down the aisle, and, as Sarah began to walk down the aisle, one of Michael’s friends surprised him by taking the mic and singing “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid, which then led to the entire audience singing along.
Let’s take a peek at this rock ‘n’ roll family wedding under the stars…
Unicorns & pink everything at this sparkly, over-the-top disco party wedding
After lots of soul searching and important conversations we decided that marriage was for us. But we weren't really inspired by the weddings in bridal magazine or any venues… until we learned that you could get married at the Madonna Inn. The place is over the top, nauseatingly pink, and tacky in the best of ways — just like what I imagine my heart looks like.
We decided to double down on this wild venue and fill the wedding with all things rainbow, mixed textures, bright, shiny, and fun…
