This small Brooklyn wedding had wine, plants, and a red dress that slayed
Lauren and Andrew did not want a traditional wedding in any sense of the word. Lauren’s vintage-style custom red dress was the first way we can tell that this couple did things their way and it WORKED. They chose to have a small wedding which meant they got to spend quality time with everyone there, a major goal.
There were sweet speeches, killer cocktails, sweet rustic details, and lots of wine.
From Brooklyn to Iceland, this globetrotting wedding photographer electrifies your wedding
When I was introduced to our super talented photography partner, Steph of Zakas Photography, I spent WAY too much time digging into all of the weddings in her portfolio. They were all swoon-worthy and majestic and romantic, but they were also super duper adventurous and interesting…
Funky instruments & muted flowers at this dark and eclectic inspiration shoot at an old Brooklyn theater
I love how this inspiration shoot combines the traditional with the ultra eclectic, which seems to really reflect what’s happening in offbeat weddings right now. We’re all about embracing traditions we feel resonate and tossing out what doesn’t. The best part of this shoot for me was the venue: a dusty old theater in Red Hook, Brooklyn, called the Jalopy Theater. Think tons of funky instruments, dark and shadowy corners, and a wedding vibes that totally matches.
Follow along at this Brooklyn wedding which takes place at each relationship milestone location
Want to hear the BEST love story to take place in Crown Heights in Brooklyn, NY? Nadira and Dave both moved to the neighborhood before they ever met, got to know each other at a local bar, fell in love, got matching tattoos for their engagement, and got married, all just steps from the apartment they now share together. Each part of their wedding day was held at a place that was a part of their journey, from where they met, to where they went on their first date, to where they got their matching tattoos.
This is one to savor as you follow the journey…
Let’s be rock stars at this killer concert venue wedding (or anti-wedding?)
Kyle and Louisa aren’t your average couple and didn’t want their wedding to be cookie-cutter either. They hosted their event at one of Brooklyn’s coolest concert venues, The Bell House, and didn’t waste the stage since they’re both totally musicians. The party ended with a CONCERT.
Are you ready for this concert venue wedding that barely resembled a wedding at all? We are, too…
This pair flew across the pond for a super stylish Brooklyn Bridge elopement
Therese and Edward eloped to New York City all the way from Ireland. They started off getting ready at their hotel and then traveled via subway to Brooklyn for a ceremony on the Brooklyn Bridge. Then it was on to some colorful and stunning portraits in DUMBO and Bushwick, Brooklyn. Don’t miss this ultra stylish Brooklyn Bridge elopement and its gorgeous details: the silvery dress, the awesome ride on the subway, the ogling passersby on the bridge, and the sexy ass squeezes…
