Kara & Joe’s Soviet propaganda super spy wedding
These two are self-titled “Soviet propaganda nerds!” Say what!? Oh yes, propaganda posters, top secret folders, hidden coded programs… this wedding is a spy lover’s dream. Get your decoder rings and check out the retro goodness with awesome fashion, very cool DIY, and even a few geeky touches.
Megan & Jay’s last-minute change solstice wedding
Sometimes you plan an intimate NOLA elopement, and sometimes life gets in the way. So when life prevented this couple from doing just that, they decided to plan an elegant hometown wedding with friends and family instead. And this beach-side family party with stone warming ceremony is just perfect for our Simple Weddings week.
Anna & Jeremias’ Old Hollywood Swedish wedding
Old Hollywood meets Stockholm in this short and sweet ceremony and big party. 11 years of dating, a lot of DIY, some Mario Kart anecdotes, a subway ride to the reception, and a few anxiety hurdles made this day really eclectic but pretty fantastic.
Maureen & Derek’s Scottish humanist two-part wedding
This two-part wedding had an intimate humanist ceremony followed by amazing seafood at a local restaurant and then a cracking ceilidh for the rest of the guests the next day. Though there were some hiccups with the liquor license, this wild bunch still managed to leave some blood on the dance floor from the “dance of death!” Wild, woolly, and amazing. Would you want it any other way?
