New Orleans meets pop culture meets foodie details at this Atlanta wedding
Alex and Michael’s rad New Orleans-inspired wedding was a mash-up of Harry Potter, pop culture, and a New Orleans speakeasy vibe with a dash of chef-inspired details. All these ideas were set against the amazing industrial backdrop of the King Plow Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia. From the persimmons and red cabbage hidden in the bouquet, to the box of Harry Potter-themed Owl Post “letters” that held their self-designed rings, to the gorgeous tablescapes that brought a new meaning to “farm to table,” this wedding had everything a pop culture and foodie nerd could ever want.
This wedding had two brides and lotería table numbers
Sarah and Veronica wanted to plan a wedding that was super bright and colorful. Veronica is Mexican-American and the wedding incorporated several Mexican culture elements including papel picado, bright tissue paper flowers, lotería table numbers, and tacos.

Rainy redwoods and tons of DIY at this Wes Anderson-themed wedding
The first thing to know about this wedding is that it rained. Not just any rain. It poured. And of course, it was an outdoor wedding in a redwood grove only accessible by an antique steam train. So there was no Plan B. But thankfully for us, everyone put on their galoshes and headed out to get Karen and Austin married.
But just wait, there’s more. The reception was Wes Anderson-themed!
