A casual Colorado wedding meets chic speakeasy party
We really wanted a casual, foodie, boozy wedding. We wanted good food and for our guests to have a chill but fun time. My dad officiated our wedding which was so incredibly special. Both of our families are super supportive and embraced our not quite traditional queer wedding. My sister in-law hand made our rings for us and we had a ring warming ceremony. Each of the guests passed the rings around and put their hopes and wishes for us into them.
A fairy tale genderfluid cherry blossom vow renewal (with a dress-to-suit swap!)
Gag*i and Wuu had a transcendent vow renewal in Vienna with pinks, flowers, and a dress to suit outfit change before a second ceremony. It was lovely, but the description we got from the couple said more than we ever could.
Here’s how their genderfluid cherry blossom vow renewal played out…
Turtles! Brunch! Dogs in ties! This rainbow lesbian wedding is all about furever love
Since Caitlin proposed to Kris with the tortoises at the Southwick Zoo, we included the turtles in all our little details including a custom logo designed by Caitlin/paper straws with turtle cutouts (save the sea turtles!), handknit turtle coffee sleeve favors which doubled as a seating chart by Caitlin’s grandmother Marcia, and even more turtle decorations.
Since it was a lesbian wedding, we of course had to include rainbows!
These high school sweetheart ladies had love blooming Like cherry blossoms
Andrea and Megan were high school sweethearts who met on Megan’s first day of freshman year. Years later, they were getting married in Augusta, Georgia in a champagne dress and a chic gray suit. They incorporated Phillippine culture and tradition into the ceremony as well as exchanging gold coins, lighting unity candles, and jumping the broom.
