Ring Pops, donuts, and ladies in love at this Voodoo Donuts wedding
Natya and Kris had a small but kick-ass ceremony at the famous Voodoo Donuts in Portland, OR. There were, as always, about 20 people in line at the store and many more outside along the sidewalk. This meant that there were tons of onlookers, many of whom only just realized there was a tiny wedding happening.
There were gorgeous photos out by the waterfront, a sweet (literally and figuratively!) donut-filled ceremony with Ring Pop rings, and a gorgeous pair of ladies in love. Let’s take a peek at this Voodoo Donuts wedding…
Cat shoes and tattoos: a queer D.C. elopement
This is one gorgeous, intimate, and plain awesome Washington D.C. elopement between two ladies. The only way they let their families know about the marriage was through an April Fool’s Day Facebook status change… that ended up being real. Don’t miss the tearful vows, the amazing D.C. War Memorial ceremony venue, and the post-ceremony tattoos. And just wait until you see what one of the bride’s did to her shoes to honor some missing wedding party members!
We NEED to see someone get married in one of these wild suits
Grooms and dapper brides take note: these patterned, geeky, and short suits are making our lives. We’re so jonesing to see someone rock one of these suits at a wedding. Wild suit brand OppoSuits has an array of patterned suits, short summer suits, and ultra colorful suits to match anyone willing to stray from that basic black suit. And by stray, we mean really stray. But hey, it’s your one chance to look as rad as you like… do it! Let’s peek (and pun!) at some of their seriously awesome, seriously weird, and just plain kick-ass suits.
Riley and Anei’s Wisconsin backyard wedding
Riley and Anei had a lovely backyard ceremony at Riley’s childhood home in Madison, WI full of sweet details like an antique bathtub for a cooler, farmer’s market flowers, tons of string lights, and a striking bridal pantsuit for which we fell head over heels. And I’m thinking you will, too. Let’s see more photos of the outfits and hear about their ceremony and challenges in planning this whole event as a trans/queer couple
