Papier mache centerpieces, fairy wings, and some awesome cake cuttings
Tribesmaid Remi crafted these epic papier mache chess pieces with her groom the summer before they got engaged. She says, “We’re not even that into chess, but after spending 100+ man-hours making them, they seemed like the perfect centerpieces.” This week’s reader submissions also bring us some playground fun, a family cake cutting, a not-so-family cake cutting, and a couple clad in fairy wings and a cape.
A daddy/daughter duet, a chatty pooch, and a glowing Hello Kitty cake
Jay and Michelle are psyched to be hitched and the fist pump seals the deal. This Monday Montage is chock full of happy-sappy lovers. Plus, a sweet daddy/daughter duet, a chatty pooch, and a glowing Hello Kitty cake. Hopefully this makes your Monday a little more grin-worthy.
A Western chic ranch wedding in Florida
Corrie and Rodrigo brought Western chic to Florida by having their vintage-styled wedding at Davie Ranch. Corrie is a stylist and made her own dress paired with purple Fluevogs!
Melanie & Justin’s colourful carnival love affair wedding
This couple is known to throw major ragers, and this wedding had to top them all. The order of the day was carnival: popcorn, lemonade, games, candy, and ten confetti canons at the ceremony. It’s weddings like these that make me want to cut out and hit the midway.
Pink boots, mustache flasks, and one killer comic save-the-date
Tribe member Deloreangrrl’s groom and his friend made this save-the-date comic strip from an old Batman comic for their Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding. And these were emailed to save on postage and to be kind to the earth. This, among many other excellent photos of boots, kilts, flasks, dresses, awesome ink, and a circus tent piñata, came from our reader submissions. I love it when the Tribe, the Offbeat Flickr Pool, and the Offbeat Bride Pinterest account come though for us with this kind of eye candy.
Emily & Bill’s rainy and cozy camp chapel wedding
A very cool Texas guest book, a Bender card box, towers full of homemade cupcakes (and zombie cupcakes!) , and all the ladies wearing cowboy boots: it’s a feast for the eyes! Plus, they shared not only a first dance, but THE very first dance ever together. And if all that isn’t enough, there’s a cute pooch wearing a bow tie. You’re hooked now.
