Increasing visibility for BIPOC folks has been a priority for us since 2008, and note that we always allow folks to self-identify. More about how and why we do this here.

Shienne and Victoria were the winning couple of a giveaway to have their wedding photographed at the 2019 Northampton Pride Parade in Northampton, MA. And when you see how amazingly in love and adorable these two are, you’ll see why. With the joy-filled and colorful parade as their backdrop (and Hadley Farms as their reception venue), it was truly a celebration of who they are.

This killer leather and acrylic wedding inspiration was inspired by holographic and neon decor seen at Coachella’s art installations. With a mix of dark and light flowers and vivid colors, it was a seriously dynamic look. We were loving all the acrylic details. It was held at one of Detroit’s newest venues, a restored original whiskey factory with natural light pouring in and an original antique bar found in an old Detroit mansion. This bride rocked her lucky leather jacket over a lace dress with floating appliqués. Don’t miss the “fuck yeah” cake topper…

Engagement goals: “Isaac learned how to ride a bike earlier this year for the first time. He learned because he knew that I wanted to ride bikes together through the city. He actually bought a bike and started practicing every afternoon so he could be ready to bike with me for our trip, it was super sweet and thoughtful. So the afternoon we spent biking around the city was definitely a highlight.”
