Bobbie & Mario’s family-focused accessible wedding
The music in this wedding was totally note-worthy: an acoustic guitar duo playing covers, a gospel choir singing Bob Dylan and Stevie Wonder, a “tropical space funk” genre band! It’s a music-loving, glowing ceremony-having, adorable family-including good time. Oh, and wait until you hear what got this pair laughing at the honky-tonk-themed after party!
Donny & Chris’ booze and drag queens North London wedding crawl
This pair challenged all the rules and focused on the things that really matter: booze and drag queens, bitches! And of course, their sweet vows, lovely venues, and a kick-ass time with loved ones. Oh, and they also have some rad advice for getting a deal on a horse and carriage… you won’t believe what they worked around!
Ribbons, soccer, and mimes at this destination wedding in New Orleans
These Chicago teachers decided on a small destination wedding in New Orleans (one of their favorite places after vacationing there!). With Washington Square Park in Marginy as the backdrop, they incorporated their favorite things: animal masks, floral prints, pastel ribbons, M&Ms with cat faces printed on them(!), and 30 of their nearest and dearest.
Barbara & Don’s eclectic LA gallery wedding
A 12/12/12 wedding at noon?! That’s some memorable date. Plus, since it was a Wednesday, this pair combined the magic midweek wedding with a daytime wedding for budget-friendly bliss. But there was no shortage of style here. The bride described the gallery ceremony space as “an eclectic mix of old and new with a hint of creepy.” Sounds like a fab combo, and once you see it, you’ll agree. Oh, and wait until you hear how the bride handled a touchy tattoo subject with her conservative family.
