Anya & Lu’s colorful allergy-friendly Brooklyn beergarten wedding
This nearly “bubble-girl” bride has lots of allergies, but made the food her own with nut-free, gluten-free, and shellfish-free catering. But it’s the amazing ceremony space, hilarious knot-tying story, and teary groom photos that get us straight in the heart.
A red and black self-catered wedding with group dances and a bounce house
Michelle and Jose fused black, red, and a playful sense of fun for their wedding at California’s The Secret Garden Lindsay. The pair brought a whole lot of DIY to the day, including Michelle adding a detachable section to her red wedding gown, and even self-catering her reception. The ceremony was presented in both English and Spanish, and the wedding party managed to pile into a bounce house for a handful of unexpected bridal party photos!
Bilingual wedding: How are you handling the multiple languages at your wedding?
My future husband’s family speaks multiple different languages, but none of them are English. How do I help my husband’s family not feel so left out when the whole ceremony is in English. Our wedsite is in English. And the vows are in English.
Joni & Jeremy’s medieval handfasting and archery wedding
Pink hair, custom medieval dress, and goblets of mead? I think we’ve got ourselves an awesome Dutch/English bilingual handfasting! Add in a rad archery session, lots of fantasy and medieval garb, and a fairy tale retelling of the couple’s love story, and you’ll never want to travel back to the present day.
