Venus flytraps and forever love at this haunting inspiration wedding
This haunting inspiration wedding is truly a dark and glam look at goth weddings (and Halloween, if you’re planning one for 2019!). The floral pieces on the table and bouquet were designed out of silk flowers, which are ideal for repurposing, preserving as a keepsake, or turned into a family heirloom. Did you notice the Venus Flytraps in the bouquet and centerpiece?!
A woodland darkly glam wedding with skulls, succulents, & spines
Bride Kayla loves the color black, glitter, bones, and science, so all of those things were incorporated into her and groom Josh’s wedding day. There were handmade bouquets, surprise readings at the ceremony from the wedding party, wedding pies, flowers in metal skulls, spine pens, and a record guest book. It was truly a darkly glam wedding for the ages.
It’s Halloween meets Hogwarts at this Australian Mount Tambourine wedding
Aimee rocked a gown of deep purple lace which, of course, looks amazing against a fall backdrop of yellows and oranges. Her partner Matt had a matching black suit and purple tie for the wedding at Cedar Creek Estate in Mount Tambourine in Queensland, Australia. On top of the Halloween theme, the pair also loves Harry Potter and offered guests handmade wands to wave them down the aisle. There was also a Marauder’s Map seating chart to add even more magic to an already super magical day. Are you ready to get some Potterphile meets Halloween good times on?

A Jurassic Park wedding with a real park vehicle and dino attack
We had a Jurassic Park theme complete with dancing dinosaurs and a Jurassic Park Explorer. We wanted to put an elegant classy twist on something very quirky. We had a donut wall Billy made to look like the park gates at Jurassic park, adorned with Krispy Kremes, and a selection of cupcakes and kringle. During the reception, our officiant came in dressed as a t-rex and cut a rug!
A little bit vintage, artsy, and nerdy: this art gallery meets kale wedding is divine
The theming was a bit all over the board but it came together swimmingly. The look was super vintage starlet, the venue decorations leaned to a glam nature look but set in an industrial (literally a converted warehouse) art gallery/studios, which already had art on the walls and string lights which made decorating a breeze.
My husband was born and raised in Columbia, MO, so the idea of having the wedding downtown was something he was very invested in. Our rehearsal dinner was at a locally (state-wide probably) famous pizza place where we spent many late nights in college playing D&D and Munchkin.
