Cheers to this low-key handmade brewery wedding in Chicago
Both the ceremony and reception were very focused on family — our siblings were standing up with us on our respective sides, and our parents and siblings were at the "head" table (which was located in the middle of the room). We ditched several traditions (cake-cutting, bouquet toss, etc.) that would eat up time so we could get straight to eating and dancing.
Our getaway car was my motorcycle — my husband jumped on the back and held my dress as we rode away with cans sounding the alarm of our nuptials.
A 1950s-inspired rustic vintage craft beer wedding
I love ’50s-inspired everything so my dress was tea-length and my makeup was more of a pin-up look with a birdcage veil and victory roll. We also really looked for an off-the-beaten-path location in New Jersey, which is not so easy! We settled on the Prallsville Mills in Stockton, NJ which is an old grist mill. Our ceremony was in the saw mill. We are also huge craft beer fans, so our tables were covered with hop leaves and our centerpieces were our own personal growlers. I tried to do a lot of DIY with decorating the pallets and using old windows for signs and the seating arrangement.
A wedding in Italy with street performers & a wine ceremony
Elisa and Nathan celebrated their meaningful wedding in Italy with readings by witnesses, sharing promises, exchanging rings, and a wine ceremony. After the ceremony, they walked through the streets of the ancient city of Ascoli Piceno, where they took a few pictures in the famous cafe Meletti and the Capitani Palace in Piazza del Popolo, one of the most beautiful Italian squares. Get ready for major locale envy.
If you weren’t already dreaming of an Italian wedding, this one will get you started…
A laid-back Friday 13th Wedding with antlers and a killer pink suit
Alex and Mick’s Friday the 13th wedding featured some of the most amazing details we’ve seen: a hand-painted antler headpiece, Mick’s killer hot pink suit, handmade rings (that they made!), and an after party at some pubs. This is a wedding I can only wish I attended. Here’s a little from the couple themselves including MAJOR surprises at both the ceremony and reception…
