Motorcycles, cowboy chic, & vinyl at this Pennsylvania backyard wedding
I have heard it told that when a hairless cat watches you get ready for your wedding, you’re in for a lifetime of good luck. You haven’t heard that? It’s a thing. So when Britta and Tomy’s no-frills Pennsylvania backyard wedding came across my screen, I knew it was good luck.
You’ll be enthralled by the many motorcycles and vans, casual cowboy chic, the vintage-fab ladies arriving in a classic car, and the pops of red everywhere.
Southern bbq & a fab flower crown at this intimate Savannah backyard wedding
Chris and Amy began their relationship as high school sweethearts, and after several years on different paths, life has managed to reunite them. Chris had since moved to Savannah to build a new life with Amy. Oh, and their matching paopu fruit tattoos! So much gamer adorableness.
Family and friends were invited to share the day with them, beginning with an intimate and sweet Savannah backyard ceremony, and ending at a local barbecue joint, chock-full of honey jalapeno margaritas and a tasty taco bar. Let’s see how it all played out…
A Medieval camping festival wedding (aka Game of Thrones meets Burning Man meets Asian customs!)
We wanted an outdoorsy, Game of Thrones meets Burning Man meets Asian customs wedding. It opened with a "Red Army" parade: a parade of our closest friends with banners, drums, bubbles, and flowers! The groom, Nick, also read family vows to my daughter. We had 300 pounds of meat (because we both love food), belly dancers, live music, fire performers, and a bounce house!
A seriously delightful backyard wedding with a Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence wedding officiant
Greg and Lee’s backyard wedding in Vashon Island, Washington was truly a spectacle to behold. There was foliage on top of flowers on top of golden lights. There were crisp suits and winks and soft nudges. There were simply lovely cakes and sliders and golden roasted veggies. And there was their intimate ceremony officiated by Sister Unity of Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, which added a whole sparkle to an already glowing day.
Everything from their signature cocktails to the piano solo during their ceremony added to the warm feel of the day. You’ve got to see this enviable backyard wedding…
Just wait until you see this sweet backyard food truck wedding
The ceremony at this sweet backyard wedding was held under a large oak tree on the property and a tent created their reception space for dinner, dancing, and partying the night away. Think lLawn games, a fire pit, and lots of dancing. But the best part may have been the food truck catering with delish burgers and fries! Just wait until you see the green smoke bomb shots…
A Malagasy-American intimate Whidbey Island backyard wedding
Elsie and Dilphe met in Madagascar while Elsie was serving in the Peace Corps. They now live in Seattle, but Elsie’s family history lies in Whidbey Island where they got married in her parents’ backyard. Dilphe’s siblings were able to travel from Madagascar for the wedding so this day was solely set aside for just pure fun and family.
Let’s take a look at this lush and beautiful Whidbey Island backyard wedding…
