Lanterns, swords, and romance at this royal winter wedding in Australia
Katie and Ezra wed at the House of Laurels, the breathtakingly beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland, giving their wedding day that Old World British feel they were scheming. Think swords, capes, tiaras, and a little pup in tartan. The whole shebang spoke of a royal winter wedding throwback in all the right ways.
Let’s explore this classically gorgeous wedding full of lanterns, spectacle, and pure romance…
A dark and rockin’ goth garden wedding (with a must-see blue dress!)
This Western Australian goth garden wedding was slightly gothic, slightly rock and roll, and 100% amazing. Don’t miss the awesome two-song processional, stunning blue corset gown, tearful ceremony, and almost-disastrous cake save!
These masterfully crafted paper flower headpieces are fascinator dreams
There’s some serious beauty happening here, most especially with the incredible paper flower headpieces (and belts! and adornments!) by Papel (Paper).
They’re intricately folded and strategically placed in ways that make us bow down to how amazing they are. Try not to pee yourself when you see…
When there’s skiing out of the ceremony, you’re in for a magical Aussie ski wedding
Josh and Steph are avid snowboarders, and decided to get married in the ski fields of Falls Creek, Australia. There was even a little snowstorm to make sure we all knew this was in the thick of winter. The wedding was on the smaller side with 30 guests, so they were able to have the reception at a restaurant with speeches at their penthouse. But our favorite part? Their skiing recessional from the ceremony!
