This stunning tiny forest wedding takes backyard weddings up a level (with the cutest kitty!)
This tiny backyard wedding in East Sooke, BC was a labor of love planned in a short period of time. Lauren and Cohen love ink, cats, plants, and great vegan food, so their wedding reflected them perfectly. Don’t miss the epic forest-filled backyard (who has a backyard like this?!), seriously gorgeous vegan food spread, reception space filled with lush textures, and the real star of this show, their cat Yoshi.
Grab a plate of BBQ and check out this music festival backwoods wedding with a “tent city”
We used our love of music festivals as inspiration for our music festival backwoods wedding. We had food stalls instead of traditional catering, a couple of local bands, lots of tents, and an overall casual feel to the whole day. We hung hundreds of feet of string lights and accented the space with hand-painted signs and quirky little details like gnomes and mini VW buses. Guests were encouraged to camp out so there was a little tent city on the property.
An intimate Derby Day wedding (with handmade rings!)
Jennifer and Robert wanted a small ceremony at a favorite spot followed by a small fete with family. It was personal, intimate, and perfectly charming. Plus, we’ve got the story on how they chose their venue and how they MADE their rings! Here’s what Jennifer told us…
Homebodies unite: some of our favorite at home weddings EVER
Simone and Andrew’s at home wedding was practically a how-to in at-home awesomeness. They made total use of foliage, extra seating, fairy lights, and a portable dance floor (oh, and a flower grandma!) to make their home seem like wedding venue magic. You can do it, too! It may not be the right choice for everyone, but at home weddings can be just as glorious as any other kind and we’ve got the proof.
Let’s walk down memory lane to see some of our very favorite weddings at home…
