My secular ceremony wording: lots of equality and silly puns
Like our personalized wedding logo, our ceremony is something we came up with together and personalized as well. We wanted to keep it short, simple, and light-hearted but also emphasizing equality — you will not find the word “obey” in this ceremony, but you will find Calvin and Hobbes and a butchered zombie head.
A 1920s-inspired peacocks and zombies wedding
Skye and Cody celebrated their wedding in New Orleans with a 1920s-inspired feel and lots of peacock details. There were lots of lovely decor choices including cool branches, peacock bouquets, and hanging lights. Some zombie details (including the groom’s cake and the bride’s SHOES!), tearful speeches, and a bubbly exit rounded out an awesome soiree.
