Teena & Eddie’s colorful renaissance handfasting in the round
A fabulous red renaissance dress, kilts all around, a squee-worthy mushroom cake, and a dragon ring bearer — it can only mean the cutest little wedding in the round you ever did see. And if you’re unsure of how to include your guests in the ceremony, you’ll want to see how this bride created her bouquet! Oh, and watch out for surprise flying birdseed.
Jessica & Eric’s West Coast music festival-meets-traditional wedding
A gown with gorgeous plumage, winged children, naughty ring bearers, and a leg lamp cake that actually lit up! If that isn’t enough to grab you, there were scantily clad performers covered in food. WUT! Oh, and see if you can spy a certain Offbeat Bride staffer among the guests. OH: there is also a slightly NSFW photo. Be warned (and titillated).
Ashley & Oliver’s homemade wedding on the dunes
This wedding explodes with DIY details: a handmade dress and shrug, self-assembled bouquets and centerpieces, jewelry, hairpieces, flask garters, photo booth props, and barefoot sandals(!). The sandals were the perfect shoe solution for a beach ceremony. The handfasting, adorable “ring bear,” and gorgeous setting round out a fabulous wedding day.
Robots and ivy at this pagan handfasting wedding
These two love robots, so they included lots of robot-y references in their Pagan handfasting. Sounds like a perfect combination to me. Add in the custom-made purple silk gown and ivy headband and you’ll get sucked in. Plus, they had a choreographed first dance which looked like a hoot and a half.
