Kat and Cordell have quite the history. They first met back in high school and then life took them in different directions. Then about three years ago, Kat moved back to Indiana and re-connected with Cordell on Facebook and they fell right back into their friendship like they had never been apart. After constantly hanging out and having dinners that would last several hours, their friends and family started asking them if they were dating. They kept saying they were just friends but then they finally realized what everyone else already knew: that they were perfect for each other. Cordell proposed to Kat on June 30th under a sky full of fireworks while they were celebrating the 4th of July.
Since their wedding was held the Saturday before Halloween, they wanted to incorporate some spookiness into their theme. They had a traditional ceremony and all of their guests arrived in wedding attire. However, after the ceremony, they had all of their guests change into Halloween costumes.
Oh and get this: Kat purchased her amazing black dress 30 years ago! She was shopping with a friend who was getting married and saw this dress in the shop. She fell in love. She saw it in white, which wasn't really her style, but the shop attendant told her it came in a few other colors including black. She bought it and packed it away. Kat never really saw herself ever getting married but deep down she thought that maybe she'd find a special someone and get to wear the dress. When asked what she would be doing with the dress after the wedding, Kat
said she will wear it every single Halloween as a witch costume and get a new hat each year to go with it.
Get ready to be wowed by this star-crossed spooky wedding in Indiana…
