Tons of handmade pillows, hay bales, leaves, and picnic blankets — it must be an outdoor wedding, right? Nope! But it may as well be. Due to some wet weather, these two brought the outdoors in for a green and brown faux-forest wedding. Even the flower girl and ring bearer got in on the theme action. Chalk up some bare feet, some lovely poetry, and a big ol’ party, and you’re ready for forest-y fun indoors.

I’m in love with love and I love weddings. You’d think, then, that I would have been excited about the prospect of planning my wedding when I got engaged, but I wasn’t. You see, I’m an introvert, and I’m closer to the extreme end of the spectrum. So, the idea of not only going to a party, but of planning a party in honor of my fiancé (who is also an introvert, albeit more social than I am) and me made us both want to run away screaming. Lots of DIY, thousands of origami stars, a feathery bouquet, a surprise lightsaber arch… and a bouquet tossed from a trebuchet! For reals, ya’ll. Except it went slightly differently than practiced. Plus, you’ll want to see how the groom and his best man made up for some lost time in this second marriage. OH, and for something completely rad, take a guess who wore the special Batman garter. It definitely wasn’t the bride!
