Thanks to Offbeat Bride reader Lindsay for uploading this interactive guest book idea to our Flickr pool…
We purchased several blank scrapbook pages and set up boards with bulldog clips. We had a table with pens and a camera. Guests could print off sticky-backed mini-photos and make their own page for our guestbook.
What a great idea!
We did this for our wedding and our guests loved it so much! I’m a creative-type so I already had a lot of the supplies handy. We provided the blank pages, construction paper, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, scissors, stickers, etc. We also provided a prompt for guests if they were having trouble coming up with ideas (hand out marriage advice, draw a picture of the couple, etc.)
Looking at everything our friends had made the next day was so much fun!
Wait, more importantly, where did the sticky backed mini photos come from?! Is this the discontinued PoGo from Polaroid, or did someone else make a similar camera?!
Polaroid make new cameras now with sticky film (like the Polaroid Z2300 http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/polaroid-z2300/ ) BUT you can also just have an Instax or two and some double-sided tape! This is pretty much exactly what I was planning on doing at my reception 😀
Ohhey, we were already going to do this! Glad to see other people doing it too! We have a whole bunch of non-dancy, arty friends. I’m hoping they’ll go nuts!
