Our offbeat wedding at a glance:
Our wedding was more about us no longer wanting to wait to get married. Ben and I met just over four years ago, but we both knew from the first date that this was it. We got engaged a year later, with his son on the beach, but, around the same time, my freelance artwork for local restaurant had slowly grown into a full-time job for me, and a second job for him (he was originally an ER nurse and I worked in fashion), so our engagement took the back seat for a quick three years while we focused on growing our accidental business. Now, we both make a full-time living out of our artwork with clients all over.
With our busy schedules, we knew we would never get around to planning a wedding, so we decided to splurge on a bad-ass honeymoon and elope in Greece! We had a small court ceremony with my mom and stepson, and said our vows in Santorini before the Aegean Sea. Growing up in Cuba, my Greek mythology book (given to me by my dad who had moved away to Mexico) was one of my favorites, so Greece was always a goal of mine and being able to get there together was everything to me.
Tell us about the ceremony:
Finding the most remote area on the island to privately exchange vows was a highlight.
What was your most important lesson learned?
Not to worry about pleasing others, or doing what's traditional, and just to do what feels right for you. We wouldn't have had things any other way.

I love the super sexy, beachy vibe of this elopement. And that light! Wow! Gorgeous.
