What details will you have at your wedding?
A gorgeous historical venue
Period music (harps, dulcimers, and minstrels, oh my!), a reserved wedding garden and private pavilion, a gorgeous bouquet, flower garlands — it's ambiance all over the place. Scarborough Renaissance Festival offers themed weddings that can be themed in many different ways: lords and ladies of the court, knights and their ladies in waiting, English villagers and wenches, Celtic, pirates, and tons of other options. You can don your favorite Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings gear, too. Costuming is available to rent or you can wear your own chosen garb.
A pike arch
For a seriously unique photo opportunity after your ceremony, a pike arch for you to walk under is one of those historical touches that totally makes you feel like actual royalty.
A Renaissance-themed feast
Scarborough Renaissance Festival provides a Renaissance feast including the classic turkey legs, rogue sandwiches, chicken-on-a-stake, breads, and other grub worthy of your subjects. You can also snag a pair of limited edition Scarborough goblets presented by a member of the Royal Court and a special bottle of Scarborough Mead with which to toast.
Monsters, dungeons, and knights
The best part? You're at a literal entertainment venue with unlimited fun pre-baked in. Your reception can include shows, musicians, performers, acrobats, comedians, games, shops, and of course, access to some of the best artisan vendors anyone planning a wedding could ask for. The Scarborough Renaissance Festival also rocks a Mythical Monster Museum, the Dungeon of Yorkshire Tower, a petting zoo, archery, jousting, and so many more that will rival photo ops anywhere. And you get to walk around there as the star of the show.
Oh, and check out your fest's special event weekends to match your specific theme. Scarborough Renaissance Festival has a Time Traveler’s Weekend, Celtic Weekend, Royal Ale Festival, Legends of the Seas Weekend, and more for some extra themed adventures.
