If you're balancing your limited budget with your grandiose design taste, Minted's print-it-yourself wedding invitations could be a great potential solution. Here's how it works:
- Browse the designs from Minted's archives
- Personalize a downloadable file
- Change and re-download it as many times as you'd like
- Cost is $50 for unlimited use (only $15 for RSVP card designs)
Now of course PIY invitations come with their own host of challenges: you need good paper and a not-shitty printer — but for those who love the polish of Minted's designs, but find their prices out of your budget, going for printable invitations is a great compromise.

No one’s paying me to say this: Our invitations from Minted were AWESOME, and rather nice quality for the price. I loved the ability to customize the designs, and I loved that they had a lot of non-traditional, non-cutesy-wootsy designs. Only gripe: the address printing on the envelopes was TINY and a little fuzzy. But I’m hearing back from people about the invitations, so I guess it was clear enough to go through the mail!
What kind of paper did you use if you don’t mind my asking? Also did you print at home or take them somewhere (like kinkos) to have them done? Thanks!
There’s lots of guidance about paper stuff over here, and even some info about printing on velum.
