A stunning black dress, tattoos, and skulls everywhere at this chic and dark wedding
Aaron and Kryssa wanted a personalized wedding that matched their dark and alternative style. Aaron rocked his red Doc Marten boots and he and his crew traveled to the ceremony location by bicycle as they love to ride to bikes. There were skulls, ink, deep red details, and a super fab black gown and purple hair.

“After getting engaged at a historic 1940s San Francisco tiki bar, we decided to theme our wedding to match. This wedding combines so many disparate things into one cohesive blend of awesomeness. It’s a Friday the 13th barn wedding featuring a gorgeous rose-printed skirt, lots of creepy and elegant skull decor (for Friday the 13th, natch!), Jason masks, a Nightmare Before Christmas cake topper, pop culture Mad Libs, and a lovely outdoor ceremony. Arlene and Jared have always wanted to get married in the fall as it’s their perfect weather in Northern California. They’re also fully into all things Halloween, their Mexican culture, Dia de los Muertos, and sugar skulls, so this theme was a no-brainer. They chose a restaurant with authentic and fresh Mexican food and decor, Milagros Cantina, which meant decorating was far easier. But a few skulls, lanterns, terracotta pots, and succulents made an appearance. Jared’s brother Rian helped out by hiring a few of his music students to be our string quartet for the ceremony.
