Rachel and Rob love music festivals and wanted their wedding to reflect that passion with festival wristbands, a glitter and glow stick bar, a bonfire, fireworks, multiple music acts, lasers, and live art.
They hosted it at all at Stone Tavern Farm in Roxbury, NY with the ceremony in the glowing field beneath a tree. Guests popped confetti cannons as Rob broke the glass underfoot. Everyone then hopped some golf carts to a covered deck overlooking a pond for cocktail hour. As some light rain died down, guests played lawn games on their way to the barn for the reception. Don't miss the hot dog-costumed toast, a glitter and glow station, a live painting being created during the wedding, and a surprise fireworks display followed by an after party with live music performed by Space Bacon and an accompanying laser show. Here's what Rachel had to say about their musical fest inspired wedding…
Live music brought us together as friends before we were dating, and we knew when we got engaged that we wanted to include a variety of amazing music for our wedding. Additionally, our other passions that are included in the wedding weekend are: yoga (we did yoga in the morning of the wedding day with our guests), art, glitter, dancing, and getting a chance to let loose and not take life too seriously.
We want the day to feel like a celebration of us and to have all of our wedding guests get to experience some of our favorite passions throughout the weekend. Our hashtag was #RobbieFlackyFest because we love music festivals and we want the weekend to feel like a festival of our own making. We had festival wristbands, a glitter and glow stick bar, a bonfire, fireworks, multiple music acts, lasers, and live art to give the wedding a true festival vibe.
