Sarah and Veronica wanted to plan a wedding that was super bright and colorful. Veronica is Mexican-American and the wedding incorporated several Mexican culture elements including papel picado, bright tissue paper flowers, lotería table numbers, and tacos. Both brides are crafty, so there was a lot of DIY to be seen. The tissue paper flowers, paint signs, and speech bubble props for the selfie station were a team effort by their whole crew.
The venue, Enchanted Valley, was especially meaningful to Sarah since her grandfather owns a cabin in the Soquel Hills, and she has many fond memories from there.
One of Sarah's favorite parts of the day was the “laying of hands” during the ceremony. All of the guests gathered around the brides and laid their hands on the brides' shoulders, or the shoulders of another guest if they couldn't get close enough. Then they shared their blessings, wishes, and hopes for Sarah and Veronica's marriage. Don't miss their bow-tied Bluetick Coonhound rescue pup making the rounds in the photos!
And check out the lotería table numbers at their reception!
