I'm assembling my outfits for the various Lovesick Expos I'll be attending over the next few weeks (Brooklyn & Philly: I'll see you next weekend, right!?), and I got these insanely adorable shoes. They are so cute, and so perfect, and make my legs look so long, and I love them so much, and FUCK I JUST DON'T KNOW IF I CAN WALK IN THEM.
I think my plan is to booth-babe myself (is that a verb? I just verbed it… sorry, Copyeditor Caroline.) and wear these shoes when I am sitting at the Offbeat Bride booth, but then maybe I'll bring some flats to sneak on when I actually have to, like, walk.
For those of you who are more advanced heel-walkers than I am, I decided to round up a collection of shoes that I absolutely adore… but probably can't walk in. If you can manage these on your wedding day, I bow down to you. In fact, maybe that's the solution: if someone bows down and carries you around on your wedding day, these are all the perfect shoes. PERFECT.
PS: if your balls start aching at the very thought of super high heels, get thee to our flats archive!

ERMERGRD! I want those Betsey Johnson SB Kiss – Champagne shoes!
I went shoe shopping with one of my bridesmaids this weekend for my wedding at the end of the month. I kept on picking out shoes like that and she kept reminding me that 1 – I only ever wear sneakers, so 5 inch heels might be hard, and 2 – all of my bridesmaids are already 3-5 inches shorter then me.
BUT big and sparkles EVERYWHERE!!!!! WANT!
As a little bitty 4’10” girl, these shoes are all in my ability range! Woohoo!
I had heels and flats for my wedding. I recommend any bride planning to wear heels, even experienced heels wearers, have a pair of flats stashed, because it can be a loooong day.
I also recommend a back up pair. I’ve known brides whose heels broke on their wedding day.
Those heart shoes are so fantastic I just HAD to have them! Right now!
Anyone know if modcloth has width options for their shoes? Lovin’ the shoes, but I don’t know if I would be able to fit my feet in them!
I have the black pair of the Mels you have up top and I love them! I’ve worn those shoes for a few different events, to include my engagement photos.
Example here: http://kathleenhertelphotography.zenfolio.com/p444485074/h7ec19281#h7ed4f649. And they’re surprisingly comfortable just so you all know.
I’ve also ordered another pair by the same designer for my wedding shoes as well. Can’t wait for them to arrive!
Well… for some reason my link didn’t show up and it cut off the rest of my comment. Basically what I said was that they were surprisingly comfortable and I would recommend them to brides who like heels but are not sure if they can pull off a long haul event like a wedding in them.
In fact I’ve ordered another pair of shoes by the same designer for my own wedding and am looking forward to them coming in!

The brackets you’d included in your post confused the heck out of our templates, so I edited them out. 🙂
I figured it was something like that but the bracket SNAFU also took out the editing feature. But I still stand by both my comments :).
Oh my goodness, how cute are you in that dress and those shoes!
Ooooo… cannot wait to see post on Lovesick.
I have the black and white Mel shoes and I desperately want to wear the white pair to my wedding! Alas I am used to flats and however much I practice I don’t think I can manage them for a whole day 🙁 I’ll probably end up with a pretty pair of Docs instead!
You can always wear your Mels for the ceremony and first dance. Then when you boogie down and really wear your feet out you can have a back up pair of cute flats hidden under your sweetheart table.
True! Think I will wear them for the ceremony at least as FH is quite a bit taller than me and won’t have to bend too much to kiss me if I wear heels 😛
I find an ankle strap is key, if there isn’t an ankle strap I KNOW I won’t be able to walk in them.
hello im new to this site i just adore and love the gorgeous wedding shoes you have here oh i soooo love the red heels with the heart on awwww there soooo lovely i just adore and love hearts its soooo nice to see more hearts being used in fashion nice pleasant site love ya stuff compliments to you
There is a side effect of high heels that after few years, you will start feeling back-pain. It is seamless backache by which a woman even can’t sleep comfortably. So avoid wearing very high heels or wear on only some special occasion.
Rather wearing high heels, try to wear either stylish shoes or flip flops.
But each person is different. My sister has bad knees. Apparently wearing high heels shifts her weight distribution enough so that there is less strain on her knees and they hurt less often. This isn’t just her bullshitting, it was backed up by her doctor.
