Cassie and Justin met ten years ago, only a year after Cassie had moved to New York from Toronto. They wanted their wedding to reflect who they were: low key but really fun. They invited their closest friends and parents to their sweet and fun New York City elopement. The day started at Wild Son for brunch in the meatpacking district. While waiting outside for our cabs afterwards, some city workers played “Marry You” by Bruno Mars on their portable radio.

Everyone arrived at City Hall and, to make the long wait seem a little shorter, took some photos in front of the very cheesy backdrop in the main hall. After Cassie and Justin's vow exchange, they walked around downtown, ate some HUGE pretzels, and took the subway to the West Village to eat the best donuts in town at Donut Pub.

Cassie and Justin's parents went back to their hotel for a disco nap, while the rest continued the journey through town. They hit up Washington Square Park
and the Gramercy Park Hotel for the evening reception. The night ended on that beautiful rooftop overlooking Midtown with lots of wine.

Get ready for the NYC elopement of all of our dreams…

Comments on Donuts, pretzels, & cheesy photo fun at this New York City elopement

  1. I <3 the subway wedding photos. Always a lift in my day to see a wedding party board the train. (Or, when I used to work near the Brooklyn marriage office, to see the whole wedding party roll up to Shake Shack.) Congrats to the happy offbeat partnership!
