Ok, can we take a moment to talk about the looks at Stephanie & Carla's wedding at the Clise Mansion at Marymoor Park in Washington? These two were married in July 2022, and we need to talk about Stephanie's amazing floral afro!
We tracked down Meghan Campbell of Twisted Bramble who did the flowers for the wedding, and she told us all about the look:
Stephanie and Carla reached out to me to design the florals for their PNW wedding. We had our consultation all together over the phone and having not met either of them in person, I had no idea who was talking to me about what! They ended up taking turns speaking to me in private about what personal florals they wanted while the other was out of the room to keep it a surprise for the other.
Stephanie's inspiration for her hair came from Angeles Vil as shared by Afropunk. I LOVED the idea, but I was honestly a bit nervous, having never done it before and not being able to practice beforehand.
Stephanie was so relaxed on her wedding day, which put me at ease. She looked stunning with her hair full of locally grown, seasonal blooms. It was a head-turner for sure!
While Stephanie's floral afro was for sure a show-stopper, can we also talk about Carla's wonderful boutonnière?
