Take photos with the faces of far-flung guests
Guests love a photo booth, this we know. So when we saw Ingrid’s face cut-outs of family and friends who couldn’t make the wedding, we knew it was a great combination photo booth fun and really funny photos heading to Facebook for those friends to see.
Create a coloring sheet placemat for the kids
Lisa and Bill’s ’80s-themed wedding had a big neon cake, records everywhere, and mix tape favors. But one of my favorite parts was their coloring book-style placemat for the kids in attendance.
Get crafty with a cross-stitched ring pillow
Cross-stitching has a pretty low barrier of entry as far as needlecrafts go, so if you’re looking for a project to give to someone new to DIY (or even better: a kid in your crew), a cross-stitched ring pillow is fab.
Fill your wedding piñata with adult drinkies
Heather and Ben love piñatas (as do we!) and had one at their intimate cactus garden wedding. But sometimes you want your goodie-filled paper animals to contain a little something something for the adults.
Craft your own rainbow candy balls for colorful decor
One way to inject some color and some whimsy into your decor is to incorporate candy. . Kara and John took that concept to a whole nutha level attheir Skittles-themed wedding. One element I totally dug was their Skittles-covered balls that they used as aisle and centerpiece decor.
Get literal with your photos using an ampersand
Kim and her groom used this little ampersand to add some fun to the traditional shoe shot at their vow renewal. This would be a cute, literal twist for a save-the-date or invitation, too.
