Glittery shoes for your wedding (or whenever)
I am doing all I can to get as much light and sparkle and glitter into my life these dark days — and so this week, that means glittering shoes. As always, I aimed for a range here — a range of prices, a range of heel heights, a range of style (well…sort of. It’s always loud up in here) and a range of size availability. Toes crossed that you find something that makes your feet sparkle.
Wedding flats that kick ass [UPDATED for 2022!]
Every few months I take a break from the pumps that I love to look at and instead feature the flats that we all love to walk in. Brides have all sorts of reasons for wearing flats, from comfort-hounds who don’t want to end their wedding day with blisters, to taller brides who don’t want to tower over their partners.
Whatever your reasons for eschewing high heeled shoes on your wedding day, I’ve got options for you that are just as loud and funky and “Wait, did she really think someone would wear that to their wedding!?” as my shoe posts always are. Let’s get freaky flat, shall we?
Freaking out over Jeffrey Campbell shoes for your wedding
A lot of these shoes are, ah, high concept. If you’re looking for timeless romanticism, look elsewhere. These shoes most definitely do NOT fit with simple weddings week. Jeffrey Cambell’s shoes defy gravity, defy the boundaries of good taste, and probably defy your more conservative family members who would get a peek at this sticking out from under your dress and be all OMG!
Polka-dot pumps for your wedding toes
Today it’s all about the polka dots and the heels. Polka dots always feel a little bit retro, but done the right way, they can feel classy and sophisticated, too. Peeking out from underneath an otherwise more conservative wedding outfit, they can be the perfect exclamation point at the bottom of your gown. I’m tossing in a few larger dots, and one pair of dots AND stripes shoes, but for the most part these heels are all polka-dotty all the time.
Yellow heels to pump some POW into your wedding day
It’s been almost a year since I did a yellow shoe roundup, so I think it’s about time to get some lemon-fresh goodness into your wedding inspiration.
I’ve got everything here from soft, buttery shades of barely-there yellow, to day-glo safety yellow, to deep amber hues, to true primary yellow. As always, I aimed for a range of styles (although these are all heels) and a range of prices.
All peacock shoes, all the time [Updated for 2022!]
I did a post about peacock shoes last year, but I know y’all are super into the feather-y goodness, and I don’t want to peacock-block your enjoying of a good shoe collection… so let’s take a look at the latest peacock offerings.
Some of these feature actual peacock feathers, others feature shades of peacock blue, a few just take design inspiration from the noble bird, and one is purple and just sort of insane.I did a post about peacock shoes last year, but I know y’all are super into the feather-y goodness, and I don’t want to peacock-block your enjoying of a good shoe collection… so let’s take a look at the latest peacock offerings.
