Captain America & Peggy Carter: an iconic Marvel comics engagement shoot
Have you all seen Avengers: Infinity War yet?! If you’re still waiting, here’s a little treat to tide you over…
After seven years of dating, Sean proposed to Jess while on an Alaskan Cruise with both of their families. While planning their engagement shoot, they wanted something out of the box that celebrated one of their many fandoms (they love Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and all things Marvel!). Years ago, Sean had gifted his bride-to-be with Marvel’s Peggy Carter’s signature red fedora. That iconic hat acted as the inspiration for this Marvel comics engagement shoot.

You know when you’re scoping out the portfolios of wedding photographers and you run across some that just make you scream, THIS IS WHAT I WANT. That’s how I felt when I spied the work of our uber talented offbeat photographer partner, Danette Pascarella Photography.
Her photos were just full of that spark that you just want them to have. Clearly all of her clients are seriously comfortable in front of her camera, which is such a FIND. Let’s find out more about this awesome photographer and if she’s got any special gifts specifically for readers of Offbeat Bride. Spoiler alert: she does!

Bright idea: bad-ass meets angelic with these LED crystal tiaras
I’m already enamored of crystal tiaras in general. You can see some of my faves here. BUT BUT BUT: y’all, they also come as LED crystal crowns! Yes, you can totally walk down the aisle in a glowing rainbow of crystal making you look like some kind of lit-up unicorn queen goddess. Or maybe you’re into slightly more understated and demure, glowing white crystals? No matter what style of glow-up you’re going to rock, there’s a tiara calling your name.
