You’ve got to see NYC’s first and only after-hours walk-in wedding chapel (like Vegas without the Elvis!)
Y’all know we love a fun and campy Vegas elopement. But if you’re elsewhere, say, on the East Coast or in New York City, it’s a long haul over to Vegas for that amazing elopement. But fear not! One of our most fabulous and charismatic wedding officiants, DonnaMarie SanSevero aka The Reverend D, has created the perfect New York after-hours walk-in wedding chapel. And it’s amazing…

Marriage! At the Disco: a disco-inspired wedding shoot
I’ve always loved classic disco music, despite the haters. It’s quintessential dance music and always finds a new audience in every generation (especially during today’s drag renaissance). So when we spied this disco-inspired wedding shoot, we were in glittery love.
Keep an eye out for the disco ball gown, the chic silk jumpsuit, black, four-tier glitter cake, all of the red details, the floral screen dripping with color and texture, the rainbow heels, the red vinyl sweetheart booth (with a shark!).
Mike & Eleven’s Stranger Things wedding of our Eggo, Upside Down imaginations
If you’re a fan of Netflix’s Stranger Things, you’ll know that season 3 starts tonight and should be lots of retro horror fun. The idea for this Stranger Things wedding inspiration came after photographer Julie Floro saw Mike and Eleven kiss at the Snow Ball and couldn’t stop imagining their fictional future marriage, complete with Eggo waffle bar, Upside Down-inspired florals (with red lilies reminiscent of the Demogorgon’s mouth!), and outfits inspired by the show including the Snow Ball.
A cautionary tale of wedding photography disappointment (and how this photographer can help!)
“Is it really so hard to get everything you want?” she asked. My heart sank. A Facebook friend had gotten in touch because she needed help. Her wedding photographer had, in her words, “dropped the ball.” She had finally gotten her wedding photos back after months and months of waiting, and… let’s put it this way, she wasn’t crying tears of joy. Important shots were missing. The lake that was what first made her and her then-fiance fall in love with (and ultimately book) their venue was not in any of her photos. Here’s how to avoid that on your wedding day…
These heart-heeled shoes let your show your love from head to toe [UPDATED for 2022!]
I wore heart-shaped shoe clips on my wedding day a few weeks back so I’m still on a bit of a heart-shaped kick. When I saw these Heart-shaped heels by Show Story, I knew they were destined to be someone’s perfect love-themed wedding heels. The best part of these lovey-dovey heels are that they come in 35(!) colors and patterns. Some have an ankle strap for extra security, some have a removable toe flower, and there are stripes, polka dots, rainbows, glitter, wings, and more. There’s even a few blue pairs if you want to make them your “something blue.”
