Scalloped shoes for a wavy wonderful wedding day (including flats!)

This is perhaps a weirdly specific shoe post, even by my weirdly specific standards.

Today I want to talk about scalloping.

…Right? It’s a strangely tiny thing to focus on, but I’m noticing an increase in shoes with little rounded edges and detailing. Inspired by these shoes, I feel like this is a nice little break from all the chevron patterns that have been so prevalent the last couple years. Nice round little curves… let’s do this!

Winter wedding shoes: boots and other warmies [UPDATED for 2022!]

On last week’s shoe post, Meganwins asked for a post about winter wedding footwear. I linked to my most recent post about wedding boots, but that was six months ago. Maybe it’s time for a new booted walk down the aisle… and maybe instead of just thinking BOOTS, I’mma go for footwear that’s just generally better for winter weddings. A little warmer, a little more water resistant, a little less strappy. Winter brides, hold my gloved hand, and let’s do this…

Silver shoes for sparkly wedding toes

By special request… silver shoes! I’ve done many posts about sparkly shoes (which of course includes silver), but never have I just set my sights on this one type of metallic.

As always, I tried to get a full range of options — from the holographic Vivienne Westwood flats above, to sparklingly prim little pumps, to dapper Oxfords so sparklingly silver that they might as well be disco balls. You’ll find a range of prices, too. And the bonus shoe stays in the metallic flavor, but comes way WAY out of left field, reminding me of some club kid shoes I wore in the mid-’90s.

Coral wedding shoes: pumps, flats, and skulls! [UPDATED for 2023!]

Can we talk about coral? It’s not quite orange, but not quite pink. It’s definitely brighter than peach, and it complements teal perfectly if you’re into that kind of thing. It’s also the color that I’m single-mindedly fixating on today, with a whole post full of pumps, flats, and the most adorably dapper coral nubuck oxfords. Interestingly, several of these shoes also involve skulls in various ways… I love it when macabre details show up in unexpected places.
