These brides traded their big plans for a barefoot beach micro-wedding
We had a big wedding planned. We had bridesmaids and everything! But during the pandemic… We decided to just take off without telling anyone and get married. We used nature as our decoration and it was more perfect than the big wedding we were planning ever could have been.
A booklover’s library wedding (with special appearances by Sonic the hedgehog)
Books was our obvious wedding theme (the first indication being that the wedding was at a library), but my husband actually hates reading (…THE HORROR!), so we included some Sonic the Hedgehog elements because that’s his all-time favorite video game.
This rustic goth handfast wedding happened at the Poe Museum!
Denise and Lee exchanged their vows at The Poe Museum in Richmond, VA. Wait until you see the stunning purple details — complete with kitty bow ties!
Covid turned my hallowedding into an elopement (but it was still magical!)
If you’re into wands, Deathly Hallows, thestrals, ghosting, invisible antics, magic potions… you’ll definitely want to check out these photos from Shannon and Andrew’s Hallowedding elopement.
A stunning blue dress and animal ambassadors at this zoo wedding in Baton Rouge
At our zoo wedding in Baton Rouge, we had a blue and purple color scheme with some Star Wars touches here and there, including a Han and Leia cake topper.
We also had a selection of animal ambassadors during the reception, for a touch of the wild side.
These gamers rocked a music festival playlist vibe (& a Bioshock-themed first look!)
The theme was largely based on our mutual love of music and the love we have for our city, with a healthy amount of gamer touches. Our wedding website is themed after a festival website. My husband modeled our invite off of a vintage Beatles ticket. I decided that I was going to do a first look surprise and walk out to him a handmade Big Daddy head from Bioshock. Shout out to cosplayers because that was by far the most time consuming and stressful thing I ever made. Worth it.
