Angela & Patrick’s romantic Moulin Rouge-inspired wedding
Inspired by the theater scenes in Moulin Rouge, this pair combined the romance and the setting of the film with their Irish heritage in the ceremony and attire. A bagpiper, some Jones Soda, and a Hollywood screen kiss to remember make this a fabulous party.
Holly & James’ handmade winter meditation on love
This wedding takes its direction from a desire to leave a small carbon footprint and to locally-source as much as possible. Having it in the state’s first Platinum LEED-certified building was definitely apropos. The homemade hula hoops, butternut squash soup, and folk music were icing on this Star Trek-topped cake.
Maria & Daniel’s snowed-in gothic burlesque wedding
When you’re gamers, metalheads, and all-around cool people, you can make an equally cool wedding with gothic details, a lovely black gown, and burlesque performers. But this pair also had to deal with mountains of snow keeping their guests trapped at home! Good thing they knew how to live stream it all from their laptop. Technology saves the day!
This wedding was a big gay dance party in the mountains
Take two men in love, a weekend long party full of dancing, pies, and even Jazzercize, and you get the wedding of Chad and Matt. And any couple who provides parasols, ribbon streamers, and cardboard cutouts for their “gigantic gay discotheque” is aces in my book.
