We are shooketh by this sunlit forest elopement in Cougal Cascades

Sharon and Bryan’s intimate forest elopement had us gob-smacked by the scenery, the golden hour, the romantic moments, and the sheer magnitude of the beauty of this couple and this environment. We are still shook. It took place at Cougal Cascades in Queensland, Australia, and had subtle Twilight wedding vibes with that dress and those epic trees. After 25 years and a second chance at life, this silver wedding anniversary in Paris is sublime

It was love at first sight at the supermarket in 1991 in the Netherlands. We got married on August 24, 1994. 25 years later we decided to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary in Paris for a few reasons. Firstly, being grateful for 25 years of married life. In 2018, my husband had a brain hemorrhage and we are grateful for his second chance in life. And we were extremely happy to invite our best friends forever who were our bridesmaids and groomsmen at our wedding 25 years ago to celebrate it with us in the most romantic city in the world — Paris.

John even proposed in front of Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam on my birthday. Just wait until you see the video of the ceremony sketch!

It was entirely an expression of who they are and how they love. The amount of community involvement in putting the day together showed how much they value and rely on the people in their circles. The DIY elements of the day, including Belle’s dress, articulated their creative spirits.
